I am thinking about ordering some clip-in hair extensions. How do I make sure the colour matches my own hair? It’s simple and easy. You place an order for the colour you feel is closest to your own. Our system will confirm your order and request you send a small sample of your own hair. We use this to match to your new extensions.
How long can I keep my clip-in extensions in for? Normally you will fit them and remove them each day.
When you clip in the extensions, are they secure, or do they keep falling out? They are secure. Michala has worn clip-ins when she dances when she goes out, and they have never come out.
How long do the Glue-in extensions last before they need re-fitting? Michala normally re-fits hers every 3-4 weeks.
My hair is only about one inch long. Is this long enough for me to wear extensions? To be effective, your hair needs to be at least shoulder-length. That way the clips wont show through.
What is the shortest length of hair extensions you supply? 14 inches.
How long will my extensions last? And how should I brush and wash them? How long they last depends on how they are cared for, and how harsh the environment they worn in. Being gently will help get the longest life out of them.
Can you wash the extensions with normal shampoo? And is there a special procedure I should follow? You can wash them in any mild shampoo. After washing, Michala dries hers on a flat towel.
Do the clip in extensions come with the clips already on them? Yes, we attach the clips before we send out your extensions, so they are ready to wear as soon as you receive them.
I understand it takes only 10 minutes to fit the clip-in extensions. How long does it take to fit the glue-in type? Fitting the glue in extensions takes about an hour. The key is to take your time and be patient so you get the look you want. Of course you’ll get faster at fitting them, each time you do.
Can you curl, or wave, the straight extensions? Yes, you can style them as you would your own hair. Just go easy on the heat.
I have very fine hair and I worry that the clips on the clip-in extensions will show through. How small are the clips, and will they show through? The clips are small. If you have very fine hair, like baby hair the extensions may not be suitable. Of course you can buy a set and check for yourself, as long as we receive them back in the same condition we sent them out in you can have a no questions asked refund, so you have nothing to lose.
Can I wear my hair up when my extensions are in place? Would the clips show? Yes you can wear your hair up. Normally the clips wont show, a little experimentation and you’ll know which styles work best for you.
My hair is quite fine. Will the extensions snap my own hair with the extra weight? You hair should be fine, the extensions are very light and comfortable to wear.
If I used the glue-in extensions, would I be able to have my hair up in a pony-tail, for example, or would you see the glue? You wouldn’t see the glue. Michala wears her hair up whenever she wants, without trouble.
I have long, fine hair, Which type of extensions would work best for me? That’s really up to you – clip in for quick long hair, glue in for a semi permanent solution.
My hair is currently blonde, but I’m thinking of dying it flame red. Can I dye the extensions myself?
You can, but it’s not recommended. However our remi extensions can be dyed.
My hair is jet black and I want to add red streaks. Can you supply me with red extensions that will blend into my hair and make it look like red streaks, without me having to dye my natural hair? Yes, we can supply you with single wefts of a wide range of colours, including red or burgundy, to give you the look you want.
I’m going abroad on holiday. Will my extensions be OK in the sun, and in the swimming pool? They should be OK in the sun. Not sure about the pool, as we’ve never tested them.
I have bleached blonde hair on top and a purple-burgundy colour under this. Do you see this as a problem? We should be able to match that. We have many colour shades, but only one purple, and one burgundy.
How much hair will I get with my order? Each pack of CLIP IN instant hair extensions comprises:
4 pieces of hair width approx 7 inches (17.78 cm) with 4 clips
4 pieces of hair width approx 4 inches (7.62 cm) with 3 clips
2 small pieces of hair for colour testing should you wish to colour the hair (only recommended for REMI quality hair).

1 bottle of spray on hair conditioner for the extensions
Each pack of GLUE IN instant hair extensions comprises the same quantity of hair plus bottles of glue for fitting and a bottle of special glue remover. Plus the fitting instructions and bottle of special hair conditioner.
Can you tell me more about your guarantee? It's simple. We want you to be delighted with your hair. Hair is a very personal thing and there are hygiene issues to be considered. In the unlikely event of the product arriving damaged please contact us by phone or email immediately so we can correct the problem. If at all possible please photograph the damaged packaging and email this to customer.services@instant-hair-extensions.co.uk to assist with our claim against the couriers.
To receive a full refund the hair must be received back in new condition and well packaged. Please return it at the very least Recorded Delivery or similar. If you have fitted the glue in hair extensions we cannot accept them back for refund.
